Who We Are
O.U.R. Educational Enterprise was founded in 2018 by Re’Shaun Blake, an experienced early childhood educator and homeschooling mama. After seeing the lack of diversity and inclusion of other ethnic groups in early childhood education, she decided to create items to fill the void. Re'Shaun is currently attending Florida State University pursuing her Master's degree in Early Childhood Education and a Master's certificate in Instructional Design and Technology. Upon completion of her studies at FSU, she plans to attend Florida A & M University and obtain a PhD in Educational Leadership.
O.U.R. products are designed to highlight the beauty and brilliance of Black children and their experiences.
O.U.R. mission is to to provide early childhood educators and parents with academic material that is culturally relevant to young Black learners.
Our vision is to empower Black children to love learning, themselves, and their culture.
What We Do
We offer high quality, culturally relevant curriculum and resources to parents and schools. Our ever growing inventory includes interdisciplinary curriculum, printable worksheets, workbooks, flash cards, classroom décor, puzzles, and more!
We also provide consultations to parents, daycares, and school districts. Our professional development team provides directors, teachers, and staff members tools and tips to improve instruction and learning using innovative, research-based practices.
Why We Do It
Simply put, we do it for the youth! We want Black American students to be seen and properly represented in academic material.
Research shows that culturally relevant education increases academic engagement and improves social and emotional outcomes.
